Fangchengbao Bao 5 is the debut model of BYD’s off-road brand Fangchengbao, built on the DMO Super Hybrid Off-Road Platform. It redefines the hardcore off-road SUV with new energy technology.
Design: Box-shaped rugged design with modern aesthetics. The signature light bar and logo make it instantly recognizable. Side-hinged spare tire carrier adds to the off-road character.
Dimensions: 4890×1970×1920mm, wheelbase 2800mm. Trunk 550L/1600L (seats folded). Body-on-frame construction with ladder frame for maximum rigidity.
Performance: DMO platform features 1.5T engine + front/rear dual motors, combined 505kW (687hp) and 760N·m torque. 0-100km/h in just 4.8 seconds — supercar-level acceleration in an off-roader.
Range: 31.8kWh or 47.8kWh LFP Blade battery, EV range 125/210km, combined range up to 1310km. No range anxiety.
Off-Road Credentials: Rear diff lock + electronic center diff lock standard, front diff lock on higher trims (“3 locks”). Cloud-P intelligent hydraulic suspension (select trims), ground clearance 220-310mm, approach/departure angles 39°/35°.
Technology: 15.6-inch center screen + 12.3-inch passenger screen + 12.3-inch instrument cluster. Available with Huawei Qiankun ADS 4.0 or BYD DiPilot smart driving system. Auto park, remote park, trail reverse.
