Vehicle Overview

BYD Song PLUS DM-i 2025 Smart Driving Edition is positioned as a compact plug-in hybrid SUV, based on the e-platform 3.0, and adopts the “Ocean Aesthetics” design language. The body dimensions are 4775×1890×1670mm, and the wheelbase is 2765mm (class-leading). Equipped with the fifth-generation DM-i hybrid system (1.5L engine + 160kW motor), CLTC pure electric range of 112km, full of fuel and full of electricity combined range of 1450km, loss of fuel consumption as low as 4.3L/100km (measured). The entire lineup is equipped as standard with the Eye of the God of Heaven C Advanced Intelligent Driving System (29 sensors), DiLink 100 Intelligent Cockpit and 19-inch wheels.

Power and Performance

5th generation DM-i hybrid system:  1.5L high-efficiency engine (maximum power 74kW, peak torque 126N-m) + front-mounted permanent magnet synchronous motor (maximum power 160kW/218hp, peak torque 260N-m), combined system power 160kW. 160kW, matched with E-CVT;

Performance and Energy Efficiency:
0-100km/h acceleration in 7.7 seconds, top speed of 180km/h;
equipped with 18.3kWh lithium iron phosphate blade battery, CLTC pure electric range of 112km (90-100km measured in winter), meeting 5-7 days of urban commuting;
4.3L/100km fuel consumption with power loss (measured), 1450km combined range with full fuel and full power, saving 60% fuel compared to fuel cars;
Total energy replenishment technology supports 26kW DC fast charging (it takes only 23 minutes to replenish 30%-80% of power, and a cup of coffee time for a full-charged departure);
6.6kW external discharging (no worries about power supply for camping).

Exterior Design and Chassis

Marine aesthetic design:
Closed front face + horizontal chrome grille + full LED automatic headlights (including adaptive high and low beams), with a new color scheme of “Happy Rice”;
Slippery back + 19-inch dual-tone blade wheels (235/50 R19 low-rolling resistance tires) + penetrating smoked taillights (dynamic water steering);

Front MacPherson + Rear 4-link independent suspension (non-FSD version), optimizing roll control and vibration damping;
